Carol Rose returns with another action packed Workshop! Have you ever wanted to learn how to solder with sterling silver? Now’s your chance to create this gorgeous Boho-style wrap bracelet, while learning some new soldering skills. You’ll learn how to solder .925 sterling silver, a very different material than from any of Carol’s previous micro torch Workshops. Carol will be setting up a mini studio with all the soldering and finishing tools you’ll need for silver smithing for creating your beautiful pieces. This will be a hands-on Workshop, so you’ll be sharing tools and making lots of noise, just as you would in a permanent studio set up. You’ll begin by forging your heart from sterling silver, then soldering and hammering it to create it’s unique finish. You’ll also make the jump rings to attach your heart and wire wrap the leather straps to complete your bracelet while learning new finishing skills, too. The leather you’ll be using will be made of deerskin for that dreamy kind of softness that feels like heaven against your skin. Don’t wait to call to save your seat, because with SEATING LIMITED TO ONLY 8 students, it won’t take long to sell out!
Supplies to Bring: Basic set of jewelry tools including round nose pliers, tapered flat nose pliers, and flush cutter pliers (side cutter/wire snips) (available at local craft stores; see photo below). All other tools, supplies, and materials will be provided, as well as a light lunch and refreshments.
